Meeting point of Da Nang workers

During 15 years of operation, the City Labor Culture House has gradually become a familiar address for many workers, civil servants, laborers and people in the city when participating in sports clubs and teams.

Every year, the Da Nang City Labor Culture House always coordinates with the departments of the Da Nang City Labor Federation to organize major activities such as traditional sports festivals for workers, civil servants, and laborers.

At first, the Da Nang City Labor Culture House had 6 active sports and cultural clubs. Up to now, the Culture House has had 26 more cultural, artistic and sports clubs with more than 1,000 members participating in activities and training.

According to the Da Nang City Labor Federation, trade unions at all levels always coordinate to organize sports tournaments and sports festivals to create useful and meaningful playgrounds for workers, civil servants and laborers to exchange, compete and demonstrate their sports talents. These are also activities that affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the spiritual life of workers. At the same time, promote the development of the physical education and sports movement, creating a healthy and useful playground for workers and laborers.

Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh Ha - Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - affirmed: "We wish to create a playground for workers and civil servants to connect, understand each other and become closer. This is also the driving force for the development of the physical education and sports movement and the movement of good workers and creative workers in all levels of the city's labor unions."

In the coming time, the City Labor Federation will continue to direct trade unions at all levels to closely coordinate with units to organize sports tournaments well, and at the same time build cultural and sports institutions in areas with a large number of workers, pay attention, encourage and create conditions for participation in sports training and competitions, create a joyful and exciting atmosphere, contributing to taking care of the spiritual life of workers, civil servants and laborers.

Hundreds of workers participate in jogging and playing badminton

The City Labor Federation coordinated with the Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones and Lao Dong Newspaper to organize the "Connecting Steps - 2024" Running Race on October 6, attracting the participation of nearly 700 athletes who are workers, civil servants and laborers. This is the first free running race organized for workers, civil servants and laborers in Da Nang City, creating a healthy playground, connecting workers and employers.

According to Ms. Hai Anh, a member of the Thanh Khe District Labor Federation, this was the first time she participated in a large-scale running competition. “To prepare for this race, we woke up at 4am to prepare and spent many days before to train physically,” Ms. Hai Anh shared.

Previously, on October 4, the City Labor Culture House also organized the 5th traditional badminton tournament in 2024, competing for the Cong Khanh Sport Cup. The tournament had the participation of 24 units with nearly 320 athletes who are cadres, union members, and workers working and living at the grassroots union.
