Transerco transports an average of nearly 120 million passengers per year

Hanoi On June 26, the Party Committee of Hanoi Transport Corporation (Transerco) held its 5th Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

With the theme: "Building a united, clean, and strong Party Committee comprehensively; innovation, creativity, and development of effective and sustainable production and business associated with green transformation, digital transformation, contributing to building a civilized and modern capital", the Congress was attended by more than 1,000 cadres and Party members from 20 Party Committees and subordinate Party cells.

Presenting a report at the Congress, General Director of Transerco Nguyen Thanh Nam said that in the 2020 - 2025 term, despite being heavily affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Party Committee of the Corporation has promoted the tradition of solidarity, proactively overcome difficulties, ensure the lives of workers, maintain production and business activities and gradually recover, affirming its role as the core force in the public passenger transport sector of the Capital.

Transerco has effectively demonstrated its key role in public passenger transport by bus, strengthening management measures according to the target system, prioritizing improving service quality, promoting digital transformation and orienting green transformation, in order to build the image of civilized and modern Hanoi buses.

The total passenger volume transported in the past 5 years has reached about 560 million, an average of nearly 119.7 million passengers/year (excluding free passengers). The bus network is increasingly improving connectivity and expanding in scope.

Transerco also proactively reviewed and proposed adjusting the infrastructure of stops, routes and operating charts in the direction of rationalization, reducing traffic congestion, expanding service areas and enhancing network connectivity. Vehicle maintenance and repair work is focused on to ensure quality and traffic safety.

In the period of 2020 - 2023, Transerco has invested in innovating more than 200 buses meeting Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards, and at the same time, deployed and put into operation 63 electric buses on 4 routes from the beginning of 2025. The Corporation is continuing to implement the roadmap for converting vehicles using electricity and green energy according to the direction of the city.

In addition to public passenger transport, other business areas of Transerco such as wharves, parking lots, commercial services, etc. have all recorded positive results.

In the period of 2025 - 2030, the Transerco Party Committee determined to continue to promote the development of the bus network, expand service areas, and enhance connectivity according to the Project to improve service quality and develop buses by 2025, with a vision to 2030. At the same time, prepare resources to implement the conversion of green vehicles according to the city's plan.

The Corporation also aims to improve operational efficiency through internal management measures, cost reduction, service quality improvement, application of modern technology such as electronic tickets, driver behavior monitoring systems, artificial intelligence in management and operation, contributing to improving the image and efficiency of Hanoi buses in the coming period.
