According to the signed minutes, BIDV will accompany Transerco in implementing the Project "Converting buses using electricity and green energy of Transerco in the period of 2024-2035", promoting the greening of the public transport system of Hanoi City.
Transerco will study cooperation on green energy conversion, reducing methane and carbon emissions in the transportation industry. As a key unit in the public transport sector of the capital, Transerco has developed a Project to convert buses using electricity and green energy in the period of 2024-2035, expected to invest in over 1,300 electric buses and a charging station infrastructure system with a total investment of about VND6,500 billion.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - General Director of Transerco, BIDV's commitment to provide credit with preferential interest costs for Transerco's green energy vehicle investment projects not only helps Transerco soon realize the roadmap to switch to electric buses, strongly promoting the green transformation process for the capital's public transport system, but also contributing to the implementation of the policy of the Government and Hanoi City in reducing emissions and protecting the environment.
