On August 4, at Lam Thao Superphosphate and Chemicals Joint Stock Company (Phu Tho), the Chemical Industry Union of Vietnam organized a ceremony to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and to honor "Excellent Workers, Outstanding Trade Union Officials" for the period 2022-2024.
At the ceremony, the delegates reviewed the 95-year tradition of building and developing the Vietnam Trade Union. Over the past 95 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnam Trade Union organization has continuously grown and strengthened; organized and mobilized workers, officials, and laborers to enthusiastically participate in patriotic emulation movements, making significant contributions to the construction and development of the country.
Along with the development of the Vietnam Trade Union, over the years, the Vietnam Chemical Industry Union has always effectively performed its duties of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of nearly 20,000 members, officials, and laborers; enhancing the material and spiritual life of its members; building a strong Trade Union organization, attracting and gathering a large number of workers to join the Vietnam Trade Union.
The patriotic emulation movements organized by the Vietnam Chemical Industry Union are regularly renewed, practical, and effective, contributing to the completion of the business production results of the unit.
In the period 2022-2024, the movement for excellent, creative, and economical labor has attracted a large number of members and workers to participate. There have been 7,948 ideas proposed, of which 6,026 initiatives have brought nearly 297.6 billion VND in benefits. The units have awarded more than 3,000 individuals and workers with creative ideas with a total amount of 3.523 billion VND.
In the period 2022-2024, the Vietnam Chemical Industry Union is honored to have 3 individuals awarded the "Nguyen Duc Canh" prize by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 8 outstanding workers participated in a forum with the National Assembly leaders.
At the anniversary ceremony, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade and the Vietnam Chemical Industry Union awarded commemorative medals to 3 individuals and expressed gratitude to former leaders of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Union.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Huy Thong - Chairman of the Vietnam Chemical Industry Union said: "In recent years, the movement for excellent and creative labor at the Vietnam Chemical Group has been particularly focused on by the leadership and the Vietnam Chemical Industry Union. Every year, there are continuous directives to launch emulation movements between the General Director and the Chairman of the Group's Trade Union, guiding units to organize emulation movements to overcome difficulties and strive to comprehensively and exceed the socio-economic targets at the grassroots units."
On this occasion, 55 excellent workers were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam Chemical Group for their achievements in the emulation movement to perform business production tasks and other tasks, contributing to the development of the Vietnam Chemical Group in 2023; 40 outstanding trade union officials were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade for their excellent achievements in the emulation movement and building a strong Trade Union organization on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.
