Following the success of the Petrovietnam Northern Region Sports Festival held in Hanoi in June 2025, with the approval and facilitation of the Petrovietnam Trade Union, Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant organized the Sports Festival of Petrovietnam units in the Thai Binh 2 Northern Region for the 4th time.
The sports festival was attended by 4 athlete delegations including: Sports delegation of the Petroleum Power Plant Branch (Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant); Sports delegation of the Thai Binh 2 Petroleum Project Management Board, subcontractors and PETROCONs; PVcomBank Thai Binh and PVC Thai Binh Sports delegation; Sports delegation of PVOIL Thai Binh and PSC Thai Binh.
The sports festival attracted more than 200 athletes, representing workers of 4 sports delegations - oil and gas units stationed in the Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power Plant area to compete in 3 sports including men's football, tug of war and sack jumping.
According to Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of Petrovietnam Trade Union, this Sports Festival is not only an opportunity to practice physical exercise and improve health, but also an opportunity for collectives and individuals to express their spirit of solidarity, honesty and nobility in sports. This is also a healthy playground, contributing to building a rich cultural and spiritual life, enhancing the bond between units and members in Petrovietnam.
