Prime Minister reappoints Deputy Minister of Home Affairs

The Prime Minister reappointed Mr. Vu Chien Thang as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs from August 21, 2025.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1666/QD-TTg dated August 5, 2025 to re-appoint the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs.

In Decision No. 1666/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister reappointed Mr. Vu Chien Thang to the position of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs.

The above decision takes effect from August 21, 2025.

Mr. Vu Chien Thang was born in 1967, from Nghe An province. He was appointed Deputy Minister of Home Affairs in 2020.

Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang is responsible for assisting the Minister of Home Affairs in charge of the following areas of work: Organization, staffing; office; associations and non-governmental organizations; international cooperation; coordination with political organizations, socio-political organizations and handling and resolving issues of decentralization and delegation of power; arranging and streamlining the organization of the state administrative apparatus.
