Responding to the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2026) and Workers' Month 2026, Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company (Vinh Long) organized a launching ceremony for the "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" tree planting movement in 2026, combined with the inauguration of 3 Pickleball courts serving officials and employees in the Company.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Do Duc Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union; Mr. Le Xuan Thai - Chairman of the Trade Union of Southern Power Corporation; leaders of Duyen Hai ward; officials and employees of Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Van Sy - Director of Duyen Hai Thermal Power Company - said that the tree planting movement "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" is a practical activity to commemorate and follow President Ho Chi Minh's teachings about the role and meaning of planting trees and afforestation for the environment and sustainable development of the country.
The launch of the tree planting movement not only contributes to improving the landscape, building a green - clean - beautiful working environment, but also raises the sense of responsibility of officials and employees in environmental protection, towards the goal of green and sustainable development of Vietnam Electricity Group and Power Generation Corporation 1" - Mr. Ngo Van Sy shared.
In addition to planting trees, the Company also organized the inauguration of 3 Pickleball courts to serve the sports training needs of workers. This is a project to celebrate Workers' Month 2026, showing the concern of unit leaders for the material and spiritual life of officials, employees and workers.
