On the afternoon of April 17, in Dak Lak, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union organized a Conference to commend typical excellent Safety and Health Workers (ATVSV) in 2026, and at the same time launched Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (ATVSLĐ) in 2026.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1), responding to Workers' Month 2026 with the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity", associated with the Action Month on OSH.
According to the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, each achievement in occupational safety and health has the mark of specific people - ATVSV who are always dedicated, responsible, and persistently stick to each working position, each production shift, contributing to ensuring safety in production, business and operation of the power system.
Previously, on March 20, 2026, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union issued Decision No. 64/QD-CDDVN commending 76 individuals who achieved the title "Outstanding Safe and Hygiene Workers in 2026".
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union - emphasized: "Workers' Month 2026 with the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity" not only sets requirements for workers, but also sets responsibilities for trade union organizations in accompanying, organizing and leading emulation movements to become substantive and effective".
The Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union added that Workers' Month and Action Month on OSH 2026 will be implemented synchronously at 100% of units, striving for each unit to have at least one specific project, task or initiative, contributing to improving production and business efficiency and improving working conditions for workers.
Responding to the launch, Mr. Huynh Quoc Long - Deputy Director of Dak Lak Power Company - affirmed: "This is a peak period to care for workers, promote emulation movements and consolidate a strong trade union organization. We are committed to seriously and effectively implementing the proposed contents; and at the same time call on all officials and employees to constantly learn, be creative and strictly comply with safety regulations to excellently complete all tasks.
At the ceremony, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union organized the commendation and honoring of 76 typical excellent ATVSV in 2026. These are individuals who have made many contributions to the labor safety and hygiene network activities, contributing to improving production efficiency, management and operation, towards the sustainable development of the electricity industry and the country.
This is an opportunity to recognize and honor advanced examples, and at the same time spread the spirit of responsibility, awareness of complying with labor discipline, building a safety culture throughout the electricity industry. Thereby continuing to affirm the role of trade union organizations in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, accompanying businesses to develop sustainably.
