In Nam Dinh province, there are 4 railway units, with nearly 1,600 employees, mainly direct workers, working along 41.5km of railway running through Nam Dinh province. In 2024, the units will ensure enough jobs for 100% of employees, with an average income of nearly 13 million VND/person/month.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of At Ty, following the direction of the railway industry leaders, the units have based on the actual situation, proactively built a program and plan to care for the lives of workers. In particular, Ha Ninh Railway Joint Stock Company has built 10 contents to care for workers, wished Tet to collectives and workers working on New Year's Eve; wished Tet to the parents of cadres and workers over 75 years old; visited 5 families with preferential policies; visited and subsidized 86 workers in difficult circumstances; supported workers in their hometowns to return home for Tet; gave Tet gifts to 100% of cadres, union members and workers.
In addition, each officer and worker in the company receives a 13th month salary, an average of 11 million VND/person.
At the ceremony, the leaders of Vietnam Railway Corporation presented a symbolic plaque of care and support to the employees of Ha Ninh Railway Joint Stock Company with more than 48 million VND and supported the organization of Tet reunion at Goi mountain station area of Ha Ninh Railway Joint Stock Company with 20 million VND; at the same time, presented gifts to employees in difficult circumstances.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoan - Vice Chairman of Vietnam Railway Trade Union said: "With the characteristics of railway workers having to work during Tet, we pay special attention to workers who are far from home, have not been able to return home for Tet for many years, and workers in difficult circumstances to arrange suitable work for workers. With the motto "All workers have Tet", we have arranged and focused all resources to take care of workers. On this Tet occasion, we organize "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" at 290 stations for all workers to participate. At the stations, we also have special gifts to show gratitude to families with revolutionary contributions and disadvantaged families in the locality. This activity is carried out continuously, wherever the railway goes, we do it there".
On this occasion, Nam Dinh Provincial Labor Federation presented 30 Tet gifts in cash and kind to workers.
