On January 9, the Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held the 18th Provincial Federation of Labor's Executive Committee Conference, 4th session to evaluate the movement of workers, civil servants and union members (CNVCLD) and trade union activities in 2024, and deploy key tasks in 2025. Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh attended the conference.
In 2024, Nam Dinh Provincial Trade Unions at all levels organized many activities to care for union members and workers. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor deployed key activities during Workers' Month and directed trade unions at all levels in the province to effectively implement them based on the actual situation of the locality and unit. 50% of grassroots trade unions in the enterprise sector organized at least one activity to care for the material and spiritual interests of workers. As a result, 179 grassroots trade unions organized activities in response to Workers' Month in 2024, exceeding the target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
According to statistics, during Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month, all levels of trade unions in the province visited and presented 21,083 gifts to union members and workers.
On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, trade unions at all levels in the province visited and presented 14,200 gifts to children of employees with a total value of nearly 3 billion VND. The Provincial Federation of Labor alone visited and presented nursery and kindergarten equipment and Mid-Autumn gifts at 3 kindergartens in the area with a total value of over 30,000,000 VND.
The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions was given special attention. During the Workers' Month, unions at all levels established 7 grassroots unions, increasing the number of union members by 2,815. Cultural and sports activities were promoted with 105 cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities attracting a large number of cadres, union members and employees to participate.
In addition, in 2024, the Provincial Federation of Labor's Legal Advisory Office will be completed, consisting of 17 members and the Legal Advisory Team of the direct superior trade union at the grassroots level. During the year, nearly 100 employees received advice at the Legal Advisory Office. The Provincial Federation of Labor organized 3 mobile legal advisory conferences for 580 employees at Amara Shoes Co., Ltd., Son Nam Textile Joint Stock Company and Senda Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Most notably, 40 units coordinated with the professional organization of "Union Meals" for 21,361 union members and employees to benefit with a total amount of 1,250,039,000 VND.
Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh highly appreciated the results achieved by the Trade Unions at all levels of Nam Dinh province in 2024.
In 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor chose the theme "Promoting the development of union members, participating in building a clean and strong Party". Therefore, all levels of the Nam Dinh Provincial Trade Union need to continue propaganda work to union members and workers, and strive to fulfill the targets of establishing grassroots unions and developing union members assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
At the conference, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Emulation Flag for outstanding units in the emulation movement of workers and trade union activities in 2024 to 3 units.
In addition, many units with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good workers and building strong trade union organizations in 2024 received the Emulation Flag of the Nam Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor.
