The work of building the Trade Union organization of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union in the period of 2023 - 2025 continues to achieve many positive results. The whole industry currently has 869 grassroots unions with 200 (869 union members, an increase of more than 22,000 union members compared to the beginning of the term. Of which, female union members account for 56.7%.
Implementing Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW dated April 12, 2025 of the 13th Party Central Committee, the Vietnam Bank Trade Union has dissolved and terminated operations for trade unions at units receiving 100% of salaries from the state budget; reorganized and streamlined the apparatus of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union Agency and the affiliated trade union system.
The Vietnam Bank Trade Union has transferred 3 grassroots trade unions to the Trade Union of commercial banks in charge of the Banking restructuring Project; at the same time, organize working with the Labor Federations of provinces, cities and central industry trade unions to implement the pilot project to reorganize the model of the Banking industry Trade Union in a centralized, consistent and effective manner.
Attached to the new organizational model is the continuous improvement of the quality of the trade union staff. Nearly 3,500 cadres were trained and fostered in operational skills, updated with legal knowledge, communication, dialogue skills, collective bargaining... thereby improving the capacity to represent and protect workers at the grassroots level.
