On the morning of December 26, the Vietnam Bank Trade Union held a solemn session of the 8th Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
Attending were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, along with leaders and former leaders of the State Bank, the Vietnam Bank Trade Union and 297 official delegates who are union officials, outstanding union members from all levels in the system, representing the intelligence of more than 200,000 union members in the banking industry system.
According to the announcement, at the working session on the afternoon of December 25, the Congress listened to the Reports: Review report of the Executive Committee of the 7th tenure; Report on synthesizing comments on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Also at the afternoon session of December 25, the Congress discussed and voted to approve the Personnel Project and elected the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union, term VIII, 2025 - 2030. The Congress also heard the announcement of the decision of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to appoint Mr. Pham Tien Dung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Governor of the State Bank to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union, term VIII, 2025 - 2030.
