The 40-year journey of Ia Sao 2 Coffee Company is not only measured by numbers of area, output or revenue, but also a story of the will to overcome difficulties, the spirit of solidarity and the attachment of many generations of workers to the Central Highlands region.
The predecessor of Ia Sao 2 Coffee Company today is Ia Sao 2 Coffee Farm.
On June 10, 1986, Ia Sao 2 Coffee Farm was officially established. Mr. Tran Xuan Canh was assigned the task of the first Party Cell Secretary, Mr. Phan Ba Kim was the first Director. By mid-1986, the unit had about 250 officials and workers, organized into 4 production teams and in the first year newly planted 330ha of coffee.
From 2018 to now, all 464ha of commercial coffee have been contracted stably to workers.
Production efficiency is also gradually transformed into better income and life for workers. If in 2016, the Company achieved revenue of 53.6 billion VND, profit of 1.8 billion VND, then by 2025, revenue has increased to 313.6 billion VND, profit reached 18 billion VND.
Notably, the average income of households of workers reached about 350 million VND/household/year; the average salary reached 14.6 million VND/person/month.
Behind that growth is the significant role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
The Trade Union has coordinated with professional departments to launch emulation movements for labor production, improve skills, and build a united and close working environment.
Along with production development, Ia Sao 2 focuses on responsibility to the community. From the first Party Cell with only 11 party members in 1986, the Company now has a grassroots Party Committee with 79 party members, operating in 6 directly affiliated Party cells.
Trade unions, Youth Unions and mass organizations regularly coordinate to care for the lives of workers, participate in social security activities, build new rural areas and contribute to maintaining security and order in the area.
The Company's persistent contributions are recognized by the Party and the State with many noble awards, including Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, Third-class, Second-class, First-class Labor Medals and Government Emulation Flags.
On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of its establishment, the Company continues to be honored to receive the Government's Emulation Flag for the third time and the Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
From the early days when only 20 officials and workers set foot in the new land, Ia Sao 2 today has a different face. High-yield coffee gardens not only create economic value but are also associated with the livelihoods of many generations of workers.
