Giving Tet gifts to construction workers

Deputy Minister of Construction and Chairman of Vietnam Construction Trade Union (VTC) visited, wished a happy New Year and gave gifts to workers.

On January 10, in Ho Chi Minh City, a working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung - Deputy Minister of Construction - visited, wished a happy New Year, and gave gifts to workers of Hanoi Construction Corporation (Hancorp) who are working at Tan Son Nhat Terminal T3 Project.

Joining the delegation was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Construction Trade Union.

Visiting, wishing a happy new year and giving gifts to union members and workers, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Viet Hung and Chairman of Vietnam Construction Trade Union Nguyen Thanh Tung visited and encouraged workers to overcome all difficulties, work effectively, ensure safety, quality and construction progress.

The Deputy Minister of Construction commended, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts, solidarity and unity of the leadership and employees of Hancorp in overcoming difficulties and achieving many achievements in project implementation.

The Deputy Minister also hopes that the unit will continue to pay more attention to policies and working conditions, practically take care of material things, and encourage the spirit of employees, especially during the coming Tet holiday, so that all employees can have a warm and happy Tet holiday.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Chairman of Vietnam Construction Trade Union - said that in recent years, Vietnam Construction Trade Union has always focused on and promoted the role of trade unions in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; at the same time, well implemented activities to care for the lives and spirits of union members and workers, especially during the Lunar New Year.

In 2024, businesses in the industry, especially those producing construction materials, will continue to face many difficulties. Some businesses will have to reduce production scale or stop operations, affecting jobs, income, and implementation of policies and regimes for workers.

Understanding and sharing the difficulties of union members, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Vietnam Construction Federation allocated nearly 8.5 billion VND from the union's financial resources to visit and give gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the industry.

In addition, trade unions at all levels in the industry have proactively and actively promoted the organization of many activities to care for union members and workers. Notably, the activities of organizing shuttle buses, supporting train and bus tickets for workers to return home for Tet and vice versa. Visiting and giving gifts to workers in difficult circumstances. Paying attention to the material and spiritual life, creating conditions for workers to celebrate Tet at construction sites and factories happily and excitedly, ensuring security, order, and labor safety, and strictly implementing the provisions of the Labor Code on working regimes on holidays and Tet.
