On January 14, Nha Trang City Police identified 4 out of 5 victims of the Mercedes car crash into Nha Trang beach in the early morning of January 13.
The person directly driving the vehicle, after the accident, left the scene and has not yet gone to the authorities to report the incident.
So far, the police have found the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident and sent an invitation to come to work to verify the incident.
The driver's identity has not yet been disclosed by the authorities.
The four people traveling with him were all women, including L.N.M (residing in Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa Province), P.T.N.D, L.T.T.N and N.H.T.T (all residing in Ninh Thuan Province).
As Lao Dong reported, in the early morning of January 13, a man drove a Mercedes car carrying 4 people from Dien Bien Phu Street to Pham Van Dong Street (coastal road in Vinh Hoa ward).
At the intersection with Pham Van Dong Street, the car did not turn but suddenly plunged into Nha Trang beach.
When the accident happened, everyone escaped and swam to shore. The driver is believed to have left the scene after the accident. The remaining, one injured person was taken to the hospital.
At the scene, the car had deployed airbags, 2 broken doors... the rescue team brought the vehicle to shore.
