The Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Trade Union has just accepted and handed over two houses to two health workers in Ta Cu Ty commune and Bac Ha commune (Lao Cai province).

Implementing the Government's program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses", the Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Trade Union has accepted and handed over two houses to two colleagues in Ta Cu Ty commune and Bac Ha commune (Lao Cai province), bringing a new support to families of health workers in difficult circumstances.

The program "Removing temporary and dilapidated houses" was implemented under the direction of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and the unanimous support of all hospital staff and workers. In which, the Hospital Trade Union is the organizer, sponsoring 9 policy beneficiaries in the provinces: Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Nghe An, Tuyen Quang and Kieu Phu commune, Hanoi (old Ngoc My commune), with a total cost of more than 600 million VND.

During this period, 2 families of Lao Cai province's health workers received 120 million VND in support to build a house and many practical gifts.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, DSCKII Nguyen Huy Tuan - Chairman of the Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Trade Union emphasized: "Implementing the program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" is not only an act of social security, but also a bridge of humanity connecting the affection of the staff and workers of the hospital with the people in the highlands. We hope the new house will be a solid support, adding confidence for families to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and raise their children better".

One of the specially supported circumstances is the family of Ms. Cu Thi Ly, wife of health worker Thao Seo Pao (ta Cu Ty commune). In 2024, during Typhoon Yagi, Mr. Pao sacrificed himself while on duty, leaving Ms. Ly and her three young children in a dilapidated house at risk of landslides. Thanks to the help from the program, Ms. Ly has a new, spacious house. She emotionally shared: "My family's old house has been degraded for many years, leaking in the rainy season and cold in winter. Today, receiving a new, spacious house, I am truly happy and grateful for the attention and sharing of the Central Maternity and Obstetrics Hospital.

Another situation is Ms. Dong Minh Hue, an official at the Bac Ha Regional Medical Center. Her husband had a work accident, she alone raised three young children. For the past 12 years, her family has had to live at her parents' house. With this supported house, Ms. Hue and her children have their own home - the motivation to continue to rise up in life.

In addition to handing over the house, the working group also visited and encouraged officials and workers at the Bac Ha Regional Medical Center, and presented gifts worth 20 million VND.

The program "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" implemented by the Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital is a humane activity, with the right subjects and circumstances. This is not only a sharing, but also gives confidence to health workers in mountainous areas to work with peace of mind, continuing to contribute to the development of the locality.

The Central Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital affirms that it will continue to accompany social security programs, contributing to spreading love, bringing a better life to the community.
