Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam - Chairman of the Vietnam Medical Union said that in July and August 2026, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Medical Union focused on leading and directing the implementation of tasks according to the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The Vietnam Medical Union has issued Action Program No. 07/CTr-CĐYT to implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Along with that, many plans on policies and laws, building a labor safety culture, the "3 savings" campaign, the "Good labor, high productivity, good income" movement and training on artificial intelligence (AI) application have been implemented.
One of the tasks that the Vietnam Medical Union focuses on is propagating and disseminating guidelines and policies to union members and workers.
The Trade Union has advised and coordinated with the Ministry of Health and the Labor Federations of provinces and cities to launch an online contest to learn about Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo to union members and workers in the health sector nationwide.
The contest attracted a large number of officials and union members to participate, with 34,669 entries.
The work of caring for the lives of union members and workers continues to be implemented with many specific activities.
Notably, the "Trade Union Meal" program phase 1 has been completed with a total support budget of more than 483 million VND for 3,267 union members. The Trade Union also organized support for union members suffering from critical illnesses at Da Nang C Hospital and wounded and sick soldiers at Viet Tri Nursing Center.
These activities contribute to showing the role of the Trade Union organization in accompanying and caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances.
In addition to care work, cultural and artistic activities and commendation of typical union members and workers are also actively organized by the Vietnam Medical Union.
The mass art festival of the health sector is organized to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, with 37 prizes, total value of 159 million VND...
The Trade Union also commended 106 typical families of civil servants, public employees, and laborers and 69 children who achieved high results; awarded many thematic Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.
The activities not only create a playground and motivation for emulation but also contribute to building a cultural life and solidarity in the team of officials and union members of the health sector.
Along with caring for union members, the work of building the Trade Union organization is concerned.
In the past time, the Vietnam Medical Union has received the grassroots Trade Union of Enlie Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company under its management; established a new grassroots Trade Union of Hanoi Medical College; and consolidated the Executive Committee personnel at many affiliated grassroots Trade Unions.
