On the morning of December 1, the Vietnam Health Trade Union held a ceremony to announce the decision on personnel work.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Deputy Minister of Health attended the conference.
At the conference, Mr. Tong Van Bang - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor announced the decisions on personnel work of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The decision of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor appoints the additional appointment of Executive Committee member, Standing Committee member and holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Health Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term for Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the Department of Prevention and Control (Ministry of Health) from December 1, 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam promised to strive with dedication, intelligence and innovation to strive to complete the assigned tasks. In particular, practical care for the lives, health, and welfare of union members, especially the direct force at the grassroots level.
Along with that, protecting the legitimate rights of medical workers on the basis of law, dialogue, understanding and reasonable sharing; building the Vietnam Health Trade Union as a united, humane, and professional house, where each union member is listened to, respected, and developed.
Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam promised to spread his pride in his profession, arouse the spirit of dedication, and call on union members to participate in many opinions on many forums on health and life so that society can better understand, sympathize and accompany the health sector.
In addition, he pledged to work with the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Vietnam Health Trade Union to unite, complete assigned tasks, build emulation movements in the entire industry, first of all create motivation to compete to effectively implement Resolution 72 of the Politburo with the movement of all union members of the Vietnam Health Trade Union for the satisfaction and trust of the people, set specific criteria, and call on all workers in the health sector to make every effort.

Also at the conference, Mr. Tong Van Bang announced the decision to retire early for Ms. Pham Thanh Binh - former President of the Vietnam Health Trade Union.
Accordingly, Ms. Pham Thanh Binh is allowed to retire early, enjoy policies and regimes due to not being old enough to be re-elected according to Decree No. 177/2024/ND-CP dated December 31, 2024 and Decree No. 67/2025/ND-CP dated March 15, 2025 of the Government, from December 1, 2025.
Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen - Deputy Minister of Health acknowledged Ms. Pham Thanh Binh's contributions throughout her work and believed that Mr. Nguyen Luong Tam will successfully complete the assigned tasks in the coming time, first of all, organize the organization of the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Health Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.
