The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the draft Circular promulgating the Regulation on enrollment in vocational education to collect comments.
Regarding the scope of regulation and subjects of application, the draft Circular states that this regulation stipulates the enrollment of all levels of education and training levels in vocational education.
This regulation applies to vocational education institutions, institutions participating in vocational education activities (hereinafter referred to as vocational education institutions) and relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals as prescribed. This regulation does not apply to preschool education training institutions and does not apply to subjects enrolled in joint training programs with foreign countries, studying abroad.
For entrance exams or combinations of entrance exams and admission consideration, Article 10 of the draft Circular clearly states that enrollment in the form of entrance exams or combinations of entrance exams and admission consideration must ensure the following contents:
1. Requirements for exam content:
a) The exam content is suitable for the general level of candidates and meets the requirements for classifying the academic level of candidates and is suitable for the exam time prescribed for each subject;
b) The exam content meets the requirements for basic knowledge, skills, and application ability of candidates within the scope of the general education program or the program that candidates have studied, depending on each enrollment subject and decided by the head of the vocational education institution.
c) The content of the exam questions ensures scientific, accurate, tight, clear, and error-free nature;
d) For aptitude tests and other specialized tests: Implemented according to the admission regulations issued by the head of the vocational education institution.
2. Organize exam supervision, marking, and re-marking: Implemented according to the school's admission regulations and regulations in this Circular.
In addition, Clause 1, Article 11 of the draft Circular also clearly stipulates the deadline for reviewing enrollment results:
1. Re-examination period:
a) The Admissions Council receives applications for review of exam and admission results from candidates within 15 days from the date of announcement of the admission results. The Admissions Council must respond to candidates no later than 10 days from the date of receiving the application;
b) Candidates who have complaints about exam scores and admission results pay fees according to school regulations. If errors are detected in the grading and admission process after re-examination, the Admissions Council will refund this fee to the candidate.
