From 6 am, the campus of Nhan Chinh Elementary School (Hanoi) became bustling when many parents brought their children to attend the new school year opening ceremony.
In the bustling crowd, small backpacks, brand new uniforms and the eager eyes of first-grade students make the first day of school a special memory.

Not only young children are nervous about the new learning environment, for many parents, the day their children enter grade 1 is also an emotional milestone.
Standing outside the classroom, Ms. Huong, parent of baby Nguyen Chi Tien, a 1A4 student, and the parents could not hide their emotion and emotion when taking their child to the opening ceremony at the elementary school for the first time.

According to her, unlike the kindergarten years when teachers took close care of them, when entering grade 1, the children started to learn to be more independent. That change made the family worried in the early days.
The family has also listened to the instructions from the teacher to prepare enough school supplies, luggage and initial knowledge for our child. We just hope our child can be more confident when entering a new environment," Ms. Huong shared.

What she wants most is for her child to quickly integrate with his friends, get used to the school routine and catch up with the elementary school environment.
Sending a message to her son on his first day at school, Ms. Huong gently said: "Mom hopes you will always be happy, integrate and quickly catch up with your classmates. Wish you a new journey full of joy.
Preparation from the smallest things
Also taking his child to elementary school for the first time, Mr. Tuan Hung said that his family had prepared quite carefully for the opening day.

He shared that the thoughtful guidance of the school and the homeroom teacher will help parents be less confused in preparing luggage for their children.
From clothes that are washed and flattened to drinking water and personal items, the family tries to prepare them carefully so that their children have the most comfortable and confident psychology on their first day at school.
“The first time I took my child to 1st grade, I was really touched. This is a completely new journey not only for my child but also for parents. We hope the school and teachers will continue to accompany and encourage our children to overcome initial confusions, and at the same time support parents in the process of growing up with their children,” Mr. Hung said.
Looking at his son entering the classroom with a small backpack on his shoulder, the father sent words of encouragement: "Wipe you to always be calm and confident. There may be many difficulties ahead, but you can rest assured because there are always teachers, schools and parents accompanying you.

Parents also need to learn to accompany their children.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Mai, parent of Nguyen Thao Linh, a 1A4 student, said that she was both nervous and worried but also felt at ease when witnessing the enthusiastic and thoughtful welcome of the school and teachers on the first day.
Because parents do not have pedagogical expertise, we really hope that the teacher and the school will closely guide the children, and at the same time regularly exchange with parents to support the children together," Ms. Mai shared.

According to her, what parents want is not only for their children to absorb knowledge but also to be trained in discipline, lifestyle and the necessary soft skills in the process of maturity.
I hope my child and all the classmates will quickly integrate, always be well-behaved, study well and listen to the teacher. I also hope the teachers will always be in good health and maintain their enthusiasm for their students," Ms. Mai said.

The first day in 1st grade will pass, tears, longing eyes or parents' waves at the classroom door will gradually become memories. But for each family, it is still an unforgettable milestone.
