In harmony with the atmosphere of the whole country welcoming the new school year 2026-2027, Ngo Quyen High School is the central bridge point of Hai Phong in the new school year opening ceremony program.
Attending the opening ceremony at this bridge point were Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; Mr. Le Ngoc Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Kim Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Strategic Policy Committee.
The opening ceremony of the 2026-2027 school year with teachers and students of Ngo Quyen High School has a special meaning as the school just turned 106 years old. In that long journey, many generations of students have grown up and contributed to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland, Hai Phong city and homeland.
At the opening ceremony, Ngo Quyen High School inaugurated the Informatics classroom and STEM classroom donated by the school's outstanding alumni. Among them, the Informatics classroom was donated by Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, students of the 1983-1986 term and the STEM classroom was donated by Mr. Nguyen Kim Son - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Strategic Policy Committee, students of the 1981-1984 term.
These are not only valuable gifts in terms of facilities but also show the affection, responsibility and continuation of tradition of generations of students towards the old school.
In Bach Long Vi special zone, teachers and students of Bach Long Vi Primary School (Bach Long Vi Special Zone, Hai Phong City) joined the atmosphere of opening the new school year across the country.
Bach Long Vi Primary School is the only public educational institution in the special zone, meeting the learning needs from preschool level 3, 4, 5 years old to the end of primary school. The school was established in 1999, while teaching and learning activities on the island have been implemented since the 1994-1995 school year. In the 2025-2026 school year, although there are still many difficulties due to the characteristics of schools far from the mainland, a small teaching staff and students, limited facilities, weather and Internet infrastructure, teachers and students of the school have made efforts to complete their tasks well.
The school mobilized 100% of 6-year-old children into grade 1, no students dropped out of school or were not allowed to go to school; 100% of 3-5 year old children were admitted to combined semi-boarding kindergarten. Primary education universalization at the right age reached 100%; students completed all subjects well reaching 78.4%; competency and quality training reached 100%.
Notably, the school continues to coordinate with educational units in the mainland to organize online teaching of English and Informatics, contributing to overcoming limitations in teaching conditions on the island.
At the opening ceremony, leaders of the Special Zone, the City Military Command and agencies and units in the area presented gifts and awards from the "Raising Steps for Children to School" Fund, textbooks and school supplies to students of Bach Long Vi Primary School, adding motivation for teachers and students to enter the new school year.
