How to preserve melons with whole fruit
Storage of unripe melons
For melons that are still fully bear but not ripe, you can store them at room temperature and leave them for a maximum of 2 days. A little tip to help melons ripen faster is to wrap them in a sealed paper bag.
Unripe melons should not be stored in the refrigerator because the low temperature in the refrigerator can affect the ripening process of melons, leading to the melons not being fresh.

Store ripe melons
For ripe melons, you can store them in the refrigerator. To keep the melon moist and fresh, put the fruit in a bag with a few small holes in it. Whole melons that have ripened when stored in the refrigerator can be stored for about a week.
How to store nutritious melons
For the well-done melons, cut the melons into bite-sized pieces, then put them in a plastic container with a lid and store in the refrigerator.
Cantaloupe when stored in this way will keep its freshness and sweetness for about 3 days. Do not leave it longer because after this period of time the melon will no longer taste as good as at first.
