Gotu kola juice
Gotu kola contains triterpenoids such as asiaticoside, which have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant effects and protect liver cells from harmful agents such as alcohol, processed foods and heavy metals.
Gotu kola juice not only cools the body but also supports detoxification of the liver, increasing the ability to regenerate liver cells.
WHO recognizes gotu kola as a folk medicine with the potential to treat viral hepatitis, especially in the early stages.
However, it is necessary to drink at a reasonable dose (200-300ml/day, 3-4 times/week) to avoid causing a cold stomach or affecting the digestive tract.
Warm lemon water
Fresh lemons are rich in vitamin C and flavonoids, which help promote the production of glutathione, an important antioxidant in the liver.
Glutathione helps neutralize free radicals, reduce inflammation and improve liver function in people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
Drinking warm lemon water in the morning helps activate the digestive system, stimulate bile secretion, and support the liver in converting fat. Note, do not drink on an empty stomach if you have a history of stomach surgery and do not give too much sugar.
Artichoke tea
artichoke has been shown in many studies to cool the liver, lower liver enzymes and increase bile secretion.
Artichokes contain cynarin and silymarin, two compounds that can inhibit lipid oxidation in the liver and regenerate liver cells.
Using artichoke extract twice a day for 8 weeks helps reduce 22,2% of ALT and AST, two liver enzymes that reflect the extent of liver cell damage. Artichoke tea can be used in filter bags or cooked fresh, and drunk cold on a summer day for optimal results.
Watermelon juice
Watermelon contains more than 90% water and is rich in citrulline, an amino acid that helps the liver eliminate amoniac (a Toxin formed during protein digestion). According to NIH, effective am am amoniac removal helps reduce the burden on the liver and supports the regulation of ure in the blood.
Watermelon juice not only helps cool down and quench thirst but is also beneficial for people with liver heat, rashes, and boils in the summer. However, people with diabetes need to pay attention because watermelon has a high glycemic index.
Dilute cooked green bean water
Green beans have the effect of cooling down, diuretic and reducing toxins accumulated in the liver. In particular, polyphenol compounds in green bean peel help fight inflammation and protect liver tissue from damage caused by oxidative stress.
To increase effectiveness, you can cook green beans with a little gotu kola or pandan leaves, strain to get a refreshing drink every day.
