On August 8, Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union (Lam Dong province) organized the "Voice of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers of Binh Thuan Ward" Contest for the first time in 2026 - Loc Phat Award.
The contest attracted many contestants from affiliated grassroots trade unions. In the morning, 12 contestants competed, each performing two songs in solo form. One song about Uncle Ho and one self-selected song with content praising the Party, homeland, country, trade union organization and workers.
The interesting point of the contest is that the contestants usually do very different jobs. Some are medical staff, teachers, and some work at seafood processing facilities. On normal days, they are associated with professional work, but when they step on stage, they become confident voices, expressing their love for music.
The performances were also prepared quite elaborately. Many contestants chose costumes suitable for the song, invested in performance style and stage presence. The contest atmosphere was therefore not only competitive but also had moments of joy and cheering between union members.

After the performances, the judges awarded prizes A, B, C and consolation prizes. Prize A belonged to union member Nguyen The Anh, from the Trade Union of Le Loi Secondary & High School.
According to the Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union, the contest is not only aimed at finding good voices but also creates an opportunity for union members and workers to meet, exchange and share their passion for music. Through this, grassroots trade unions have an additional activity to connect union members, creating a joyful atmosphere after working hours.
Over the past time, trade union levels in Lam Dong, in addition to taking care of material life, have also organized many cultural, artistic and sports activities for union members. These playgrounds help workers have more time to relax, meet colleagues and show talents that rarely have the opportunity to be revealed in their daily work.
On the occasion of the new 2026-2027 school year, at the program, the Binh Thuan Ward Trade Union presented 30 gifts including textbooks and backpacks to 30 students in difficult circumstances at 2 schools in the area. The Binh Thuan Ward Party Committee presented 5 gifts in cash of 500,000 VND/gift to 5 students.
