In the first 6 months of 2026, Lam Dong Trade Union admitted 7,887 union members, reaching nearly 95% of the union member development target assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for the whole year.
During this time, the whole province established 86 grassroots trade unions, raising the total number of union members to 95,331 people.
The Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation determined that developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions is a key task and breakthrough in the 2025-2030 term.
To accelerate the implementation progress, from mid-April 2026, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation established a Steering Committee for member development and established a grassroots trade union for the term 2025 - 2030.

After being consolidated, the Steering Committee focuses on monitoring, urging, and summarizing the implementation situation at the grassroots level. Difficulties and obstacles in the process of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions are guided and resolved promptly.
On that basis, commune, ward, and special zone trade unions proactively develop plans suitable to the actual situation. Mobilization work focuses on businesses outside the state sector, industrial zones and clusters, and areas with a large concentration of workers.
According to Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang, as soon as the Steering Committee was consolidated, departments, branches and related agencies sent and introduced leaders to participate. Through this, the direction and administration work was deployed inter-connected and synchronously.
Propaganda and mobilization activities to encourage workers to join the Trade Union organization have also been innovated in a flexible direction, closely following grassroots levels. Trade union officials directly go to businesses, industrial parks and clusters to propagate and mobilize workers.

According to the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, in the first 6 months of the year, the whole province admitted 7,887 union members, bringing the total number of union members to 95,331 people. The non-state business sector alone had 6,835 new union members.
Ham Kiem Commune Trade Union leads the whole province in the number of union members admitted with 698 people.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Tham - Chairwoman of Ham Thang Ward Trade Union, the process of propaganda and mobilization to establish grassroots trade unions has received attention, coordination and favorable conditions from business leaders.
Businesses believe that the presence of the Trade Union organization contributes to caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers. At the same time, labor and production emulation movements at enterprises are also promoted.

Currently, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation manages 28 commune, ward, and special zone trade unions and 1,025 grassroots trade unions directly under it with 95,331 union members.
Maintaining the operation of the Steering Committee is the basis for the Provincial Labor Federation to continue to monitor, urge, and guide units to implement the task of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in the coming time.
