For a long time, many workers have needed urgent financial support but had difficulty accessing loans.
Some workers have turned to black credit to solve their problems and the consequences are long-term debt with no way out. Some workers have borrowed black credit and many relatives have been harassed by the lenders.
Ms. Duong Thi Hoa Binh - a member of the Union of Thuan Tien Garment Company Limited under the Union of Binh Thuan Industrial Park, said that the situation of illegal credit among workers is complicated and workers easily fall into illegal credit because of the need for capital. Therefore, in addition to strengthening the fight against, limiting and destroying illegal credit organizations, the authorities need to have specific solutions so that workers and laborers can quickly access legal sources of loans when in urgent need.
Mr. Ly Van Hoai Vu - Deputy Head of General Division - Accounting, State Bank - Binh Thuan Branch said that recently, the unit has coordinated with the police to fight and handle cases with signs of black credit crimes in the province, such as forensic examination, providing authentic information on cases with signs of usury, debt collection for organizations and individuals to serve the investigation.
The banking sector has also implemented many solutions. In addition to promoting propaganda, credit policy mechanisms have also been deployed to local people so that they can grasp and access benefits.
At the same time, support local banks to expand credit, creating favorable conditions for people to access capital through developing a network of branches, transaction offices, and consumer financial service points, especially in rural areas.
Along with that, diversify credit programs and products to expand lending, associated with the implementation of the state's credit policy. Proactively allocate capital to develop consumer loan product packages, meeting the legitimate needs of people's lives.
For commercial banks in the area, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development has implemented a consumer credit program for organizations, individuals, and households with a maximum loan of 30 million VND, no collateral, simple documents, and loan processing time within 24 hours.
The bank also promotes simplification of procedures and improves appraisal capabilities to shorten loan processing time. At the same time, it publicizes records, procedures, interest rates, and reviews repayment terms when people encounter difficulties.
The State Bank of Vietnam has added electronic lending to help customers access loans with faster and more convenient procedures. At the same time, to improve internal control of banks, inspection, examination and supervision should be strengthened to prevent the occurrence of aiding debt restructuring and black credit services, ensuring that banking activities comply with legal regulations.
With many solutions being implemented synchronously, workers and laborers can more easily access legal loans and avoid black credit to avoid future troubles.
