On the morning of March 14, Voting area No. 14 on Truong Sa Island (belonging to Truong Sa Special Zone) completed the preparations for the 16th National Assembly election, ready to join voters nationwide to exercise citizen rights on March 15.
Recorded at the polling station, the atmosphere of preparation for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term took place urgently and seriously.
Although far from the mainland and the weather conditions on the island are often harsh, preparations are still being implemented on schedule.
According to the representative of the election team, up to this point, Voting area No. 14 has completed the stages according to the provisions of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies, ready for election day.
According to the plan, on March 15, together with voters nationwide, soldiers and people on Truong Sa Island will exercise the right to vote, selecting deputies with sufficient virtue and talent to participate in the State power agency.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Huy Phung - Political Commissar of Truong Sa Island - said that the Party Committee and command of the special zone have implemented the decision of the Truong Sa Island Election Committee on the establishment of election committees and teams; and at the same time assigned specific tasks to each member.
The island also coordinates with forces, especially the Truong Sa Border Guard Station and forces on duty at the port, to propagate to fishermen operating at sea about the election.
The thorough preparation at Truong Sa Island shows the sense of responsibility of the army and people at the forefront of the waves. Thereby, contributing to the whole country towards the great festival of the nation.
