In 2024, Nam Dinh Provincial Trade Unions at all levels organized many activities to care for union members and workers. During and after the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024; Nam Dinh Trade Union organized Tet Sum vay with activities to visit, encourage, and give Tet gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, ensuring that workers and workers had a happy, safe, and economical New Year. There were 78 grassroots trade unions (CDCS) coordinating with professionals to organize Tet Sum vay for workers, the Provincial Labor Federation supported 5,065 cash gifts worth 2,582,300,000 VND and 322 in-kind gifts worth nearly 50 million VND. In particular, Nam Dinh Trade Union organized the program "Tet Union Market 2024" with 20 booths for workers at Bao Minh Industrial Park (Vu Ban district), attracting about 10,000 participants.
On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, trade unions at all levels in the province visited and presented 14,200 gifts to children of employees with a total value of nearly 3 billion VND. The Provincial Federation of Labor alone organized a visit to present nursery and kindergarten equipment and Mid-Autumn gifts at 3 kindergartens in the area with a total value of over 30 million VND.
In 2024, Nam Dinh Trade Union will complete the Provincial Federation of Labor's Legal Advisory Office, consisting of 17 members and the grassroots-level Trade Union Legal Advisory Team. During the year, nearly 100 employees received advice at the Legal Advisory Office. The Provincial Federation of Labor organized 3 mobile legal advisory conferences for 580 employees at Amara Shoes Co., Ltd., Son Nam Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company and Senda Vietnam Co., Ltd.
The work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions has been given special attention by Nam Dinh Trade Union. During Workers' Month, unions at all levels established 7 grassroots unions, increasing the number of union members by 2,815. Cultural and sports activities were promoted with 105 cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities attracting a large number of cadres, union members and employees to participate.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated the results achieved by the Trade Unions at all levels of Nam Dinh province in 2024. In 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor chose the theme "Promoting the development of union members, participating in building a clean and strong Party". Therefore, the Trade Unions at all levels of Nam Dinh province need to continue propaganda work to union members and workers, and strive to fulfill the targets of establishing grassroots trade unions and developing union members assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Emulation Flag to 3 units for their outstanding performance in the emulation movement of workers and trade union activities in 2024. In addition, many units with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement of good workers and building a strong trade union organization in 2024 received the Emulation Flag of the Nam Dinh Provincial Confederation of Labor.
