The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation organized an awards ceremony for the song composition campaign "Ho Chi Minh City Workers' A journey of 50 years" on August 28.
Ms. Nguyen Pham Bich Ngan - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Culture Palace - said that after nearly a year of launching, 23 authors have submitted 31 songs to participate in the campaign, of which 11 songs were composed by 7 authors outside of Ho Chi Minh City.
Based on the preliminary assessment, the judges selected 10 entries with quite good quality for the final round of rankings. From the judges' scoring results in the final round, the organizing committee selected 8 high-quality songs to award.
The campaign has contributed to adding more good and familiar songs to the spiritual life of workers, thereby creating a playground, contributing to promoting creativity in composing music praising the trade union organization and working class in Ho Chi Minh City in the new period.
