375 trade union officials working in women's affairs at grassroots trade unions and work groups managing the area of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation attended a professional training session on women's affairs with the topic "Gender equality and gender mainstreaming in trade union activities" organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation on the afternoon of March 23.
Speaking at the opening of the training session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Loan - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - emphasized that gender equality is no longer a distant slogan but a measure of civilization and sustainable development in businesses and units.

Understanding gender equality correctly and implementing gender mainstreaming well in trade union activities is of key, objective, and scientific significance, helping to identify the specific needs and difficulties of male and female workers.
Through the training session, trade union officials are equipped with knowledge and skills to transmit to union members and workers, thereby strengthening the connection between the trade union organization and workers.
At the training session, trade union officials listened to speakers who are experts presenting topics on gender equality, gender mainstreaming in trade union activities; beauty skills, health care and comprehensive Eastern medicine solutions for musculoskeletal problems in office women.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented 375 gifts (worth 150,000 VND/gift) to delegates participating in the training.
