According to the representative of Da Nang Social Insurance, the situation of late insurance payment is not only a violation of the law but also directly affects the legitimate rights of employees.
When the enterprise fails to fulfill its obligations, employees are at risk of losing the right to medical examination and treatment under health insurance, and are not entitled to sick leave, maternity benefits, work accidents or unemployment benefits.
Da Nang Social Insurance said that it will continue to urge and send notices to units that are late in paying; in case of intentional delay, enforcement measures will be applied or the case will be transferred to the police for handling according to regulations.
The insurance agency also warned that prolonged debt will cause large accumulated profits, increase debt repayment pressure for businesses, and reduce employees' trust in employers.
