Support program reaches nearly 250 billion VND
According to an update from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, as of 12:00 noon today (August 16, 2025), the Cuban People's Campaign Program "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba affection" has recorded a donation of nearly 250 billion VND.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Anh - Vice President, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society - said that the campaign program to support the Cuban people "65 years of Vietnam - Cuba affection" is within the framework of "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year 2025", commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1960-2025).
The program will support the Cuban people with food, necessities and sustainable humanitarian activities.
This is not only a humanitarian campaign but also a strong message to international friends: "Vietnam is always by Cuba's side, as Cuba is always by Vietnam's side".
Facebook page appears to impersonate the program
Worryingly, recently a fake Facebook page has appeared, taking advantage of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the Cuban People's Campaign Program to cut and paste images, turning them into profiteering fraud activities.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross affirmed that it will not coordinate in organizing the Walking/racing tournament to mobilize donations for the Cuban people as this Facebook page posted.
