Enterprises are late in paying insurance over VND280 billion
Information from Dong Nai Provincial Social Insurance said that in March 2025, there were still 532 enterprises that were slow to pay social insurance (social insurance), health insurance (health insurance), unemployment insurance (unemployment insurance), labor accident insurance, occupational diseases (unemployment unemployment insurance) for 3 months or more. According to the list of 532 units who are slow to pay, the total amount of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance and unemployment insurance is over VND 280 billion with a total of 7,589 employees.
Of which, Lilama 45-4 Joint Stock Company in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City was late in paying insurance for up to 125 months with an amount of nearly 21 billion VND; Le Quy Don Primary, Secondary and High School - Tan Phu was late in paying insurance for 151 months with an amount of more than 3.3 billion VND...
Many enterprises with hundreds of employees have also been late in paying insurance for many months such as: G.M International Trading Company Limited in Tam Phuoc Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City has 399 employees owing 5 months of insurance with an amount of more than 3.2 billion VND; G.D Company Limited also in Tam Phuoc Industrial Park, Bien Hoa City has 509 employees, owing 7 months of insurance with an amount of nearly 6 billion VND; H.G CPSX and Investment Company in Nhon Trach 2 Industrial Park, Nhon Trach District has 552 employees, owing 4 months of insurance with an amount of nearly 4 billion VND...
Notably, Hanul Line Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Long Khanh City has about 300 employees, late in paying insurance for nearly 48 billion VND; Lilama 45-1 Joint Stock Company in Long Thanh District is late in paying insurance for 99 months with an amount of more than 43 billion VND.
Ms. Truong Thi Bich Lien - President of the Long Khanh City Labor Federation - said that in cases where enterprises are late in paying social insurance in Long Khanh City, the trade union is coordinating with the locality to implement solutions to ensure the rights of union members and workers.
Slow insurance payment, workers' rights are "suspended"
According to the representative of the Trade Union Legal Consulting Center - Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, the company's delay in paying social insurance affects the rights of employees when the regimes for illness, maternity, work accidents, and occupational diseases arise during work and will not be resolved. When employees go to another company to work, they will not be able to close social insurance, their benefits will be "suspended" and the policies related to social insurance will not be resolved.
Dong Nai Social Insurance said that it has regularly urged units to pay monthly fees on time, provide the amount payable and the amount of monthly additional fees for each unit; directed specialized collection officers to closely monitor the units assigned to be in charge to grasp the operating situation, compare the figures, guide timely collection, send 2,081 payment notices and compile work reports for 42 units that have paid social insurance.
Dong Nai Social Insurance recommends that the Provincial People's Committee direct districts, cities and departments to strengthen inspection, examination, and strict handling of units that intentionally delay or evade payment of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and unemployment insurance, ensuring the rights of employees.
Previously, in February 2025, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung issued a plan to develop social insurance participants in 2025, requesting to promote specialized inspection, focusing on enterprises with signs of violations and prolonged debts.
Along with that, it is necessary to strengthen dialogue, requiring businesses to fully fulfill their social insurance obligations; at the same time, count and review workers in small businesses and individual business households to request compulsory social insurance participation and mobilize voluntary social insurance participation.
