Make sure everyone has Tet
With the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party" and the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", the Binh Dinh Provincial Labor Federation (LDLF) organized a series of meaningful activities to take care of the Lunar New Year 2025 for union members and workers, thereby affirming the role of the Trade Union organization in protecting the rights and taking care of workers.
The activities to care for Tet are organized by the Trade Unions at all levels of Binh Dinh province in a variety of ways, focusing on supporting workers at the grassroots level. The goal is to prioritize support for union members and workers in industrial parks, industrial clusters, and economic zones in the province. In particular, the care work also focuses on workers living and working in remote areas or areas with difficult economic circumstances, to ensure that "everyone has Tet".
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, there will be 10 typical caring activities, notably the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Thanks to the Party" and "Tet Union Market 2025". In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor also prepares free means of transportation or supports train, bus, and plane tickets for union members and workers to return home to reunite with their families. Workers who are unable to return home will be able to participate in local Spring activities and receive Tet gifts from the Union organization.
The highlight is the support policies for employees and workers in particularly difficult circumstances. Employees themselves, their spouses, and their children who are frequently sick or affected by natural disasters, job loss, or unpaid wages will receive support of VND 700,000/person; in case of work accidents, occupational diseases with a labor capacity reduction of 31% or more, serious illnesses, or severe damage caused by natural disasters or fires in 2024, they will receive support of VND 2 million/person; Employees and workers in particularly difficult circumstances selected by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will receive VND 1 million in cash and VND 300,000 in kind.
Connecting workers and businesses
The program "Union Tet Market" and "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Thanks to the Party" has become a gathering space full of spring colors, with 40 Tet market booths for workers. Here, workers can access promotional booths, use discount vouchers and participate in entertainment activities such as: Tet game booths, health and beauty consultation, calligraphy performances, lucky draws... bringing a warm and joyful Tet atmosphere.
Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial Labor Federation said that in recent years, the organization of Tet care for workers has been enthusiastically responded by enterprises in the province. In addition to sponsoring shopping vouchers for workers to shop for Tet, enterprises also organize spring festivals at the end of the year, with many exciting activities. These activities are also maintained regularly every year.
"The Tet care programs create a closer connection between the labor community and businesses, adding motivation for workers to work effectively, improving labor productivity and product quality. Ensuring that all workers have Tet is the goal and responsibility that Binh Dinh Provincial Trade Union puts first," said Mr. Ha Duy Trung.
According to the Chairman of the Binh Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor, on the occasion of Tet this year, the Binh Dinh Provincial Federation of Labor presented 8,500 gifts worth a total of about 7 billion VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those with serious illnesses, occupational diseases, and those who had serious work accidents. In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor also supported the construction of 14 Union Shelters, worth a total of 780 million VND, helping workers have stable housing and a happy and warm Tet.
In the context of many economic difficulties, the Tet care programs launched by Binh Dinh Provincial Trade Union and organized in coordination with businesses have brought practical values, helping workers overcome difficulties and celebrate Tet with joy and peace of mind.
