On the morning of April 24, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor held the 16th Ceremony to honor outstanding workers; reward outstanding workers who are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam; launch Workers' Month; Labor Safety and Hygiene Month 2025 and celebrate the 139th anniversary of the International Labor Federation (1.5).
Attending were Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Mai So -, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Canh - Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - reviewed the history of struggle, construction and growth of the world and Vietnamese working class.
Chairman of the Labor Union of Bac Giang province emphasized that, since 1975, to celebrate the International Labor Day 1.5 in Vietnam, it is increasingly meaningful when the whole Party, the entire people and the whole army commemorate with the 30.4 victory day. This is an opportunity for the working class and working people nationwide to review the tradition of fighting against foreign aggression; Exciting response to patriotic emulation movements to express their memory and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of our nation.
Mr. Nguyen Van Canh said that Bac Giang province has nearly 300,000 workers working in enterprises in industrial parks and clusters and has made great contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.
However, the lives of a part of workers are still difficult; urgent issues of workers today such as: wages, income, employment; housing; working environment; entertainment areas; kindergartens; schools for children; working conditions; protection and labor safety... These are issues that Party committees, authorities at all levels and trade unions in the province have been trying to solve.
Therefore, according to Mr. Nguyen Van Canh, along with strengthening the propaganda, advocacy, both ensuring safety at work, both stabilizing jobs, income, improving labor productivity of workers, the preparation of conditions for the development of businesses, and with the leadership and coordination of the Party committees, authorities, consensus, solidarity, sharing of labor union levels, firm and solid workers of laborers Workers and the month of labor safety and hygiene in 2025 will achieve much success.
In recent years, the emulation movement among workers and civil servants in Bac Giang province has been widely implemented by trade unions at all levels in the province, attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate; many outstanding labor examples appearing from production labor have been recognized and rewarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Labor Federation.
At the program, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor honored and rewarded 139 individuals who are outstanding workers in emulation movements; 95 workers who are members of the Communist Party of Vietnam with outstanding achievements.
According to the Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, each person and field shows the exemplary role of Party members; the burning enthusiasm, noble professionalism, close solidarity and more importantly, their responsibility to work, to businesses, to the social community to "overcome difficulties and rise up" to become typical individuals, taking the lead in the emulation movement.

At the program, the Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor allocated 235 million VND in support funds to 7 union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the province to build houses.

The Provincial Federation of Labor presented gifts to 50 workers in difficult circumstances from grassroots unions under the Bac Giang City Labor Federation and the Lang Giang District Labor Federation, each gift worth VND800,000/gift; the total value of the gifts was VND40 million.
