The conference was attended by Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL), representatives of the leaders of the Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Management Board of Thanh Hoa province, grassroots unions and a large number of union members and workers.
According to the Trade Union of Nghi Son Economic Zone and Industrial Parks of Thanh Hoa province (Nghi Son Trade Union), the unit is managing 154 affiliated grassroots trade unions, with 88,155 union members. In the period of 2020 - 2025, the unit has directed grassroots unions to organize many practical emulation movements, associated with the actual situation of each unit.
The emulation movements have attracted a large number of union members and workers to participate, contributing to improving labor productivity, successfully implementing political tasks, and producing and trading of agencies and enterprises. Thereby, thousands of technical innovation and production rationalization initiatives have been recognized and applied to production, bringing in tens of billions of VND in profits.
With outstanding contributions and achievements, 25 workers have been awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; 2 union members were awarded the Nguyen Duc Canh Award.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor - acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of Nghi Son Trade Union, grassroots trade unions and workers in the patriotic emulation movement over the past 5 years.
Along with that, he suggested that Nghi Son Trade Union and its affiliated grassroots trade unions continue to innovate the content and methods of organizing emulation, promoting propaganda and legal education; proactively grasp the ideological situation, life and employment of workers to promptly propose practical support solutions.
I hope that in the coming time, Nghi Son Trade Union and grassroots trade unions will continue to coordinate with employers, further improve welfare policies for employees, and promptly reward collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements. Thereby creating new motivation, new spirit, and better promoting the role of trade unions in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers" - Mr. Son emphasized.
Also at the conference, Nghi Son Trade Union commended and rewarded 26 collectives and 56 typical advanced individuals. In addition, 8 collectives and 34 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor and 8 enterprises were awarded the title of "Cultural Unit" by the Provincial Federation of Labor.
