On the morning of September 12, the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that in the afternoon of September 11, the unit had just organized the handover of the "Trade Union Shelter" house to union member Le Van Chinh (born in 1971, Gao Giong hamlet, Phong My commune).
According to the decision dated June 19, 2026 of the Dong Thap Golden Heart Charity Social Fund Branch, union member Le Van Chinh was supported with 60 million VND to build a house.

Mr. Le Van Chinh is a worker at Thuan Tien Agricultural Service Cooperative and is the main breadwinner in the family. The family has 4 members; his wife does small business, and two children work as hired laborers with unstable jobs.
Meanwhile, the family's old house has deteriorated, the floor is often damp, the corrugated iron roof and wooden walls are old, not ensuring living conditions. Because the income is mainly for daily expenses, the family does not have the ability to build a new house themselves.
Based on actual surveys and the proposal of the grassroots Trade Union of Thuan Tien Agricultural Service Cooperative, Phong My Commune Trade Union, Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation agreed to support Mr. Chinh's family to build a "Trade Union Shelter".
The house was started on June 25, 2026 and completed on August 30, 2026, with a construction area of 60m2, with a width of 5m, a length of 12m. The total construction cost of the house is 146.9 million VND. Of which, the Dong Thap Golden Heart Charity Fund Branch supported 60 million VND; the family contributed 50 million VND and relatives lent 36.9 million VND.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Chairwoman of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that the "Trade Union Home" program is one of the practical care activities, demonstrating the responsibility of the Trade Union organization towards union members and workers in difficult housing circumstances.
According to Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui, the support not only helps union members have conditions to build solid houses but is also a source of encouragement for workers to feel secure in their work, stabilize their lives and continue to be attached to the unit, locality and Trade Union organization.
What we want is that through each house awarded, union members can more clearly feel the concern and sharing of the Trade Union organization. When they have a stable place to live, workers will have more faith and motivation to overcome difficulties, take care of their families and feel secure in working," said Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui.
Welcoming the new house, Mr. Le Van Chinh emotionally said that the old house had deteriorated for a long time, but the family did not have the conditions to repair and rebuild it. According to Mr. Chinh, the support of the Trade Union is a great source of encouragement for the family.
Having a new house, the family will be more at ease, especially during the rainy season. I am very grateful to the Trade Union organization and the Golden Heart Charity Fund for their concern and support for the family," Mr. Chinh shared.
