On the morning of February 5, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a conference to disseminate and implement the Trade Union Law 2024 and the Social Insurance Law 2024.
At the conference, in order to recognize the contributions of collectives and individuals in the work of building the Trade Union Law (amended), the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit from the Executive Committee of the General Confederation to 5 collectives and 38 individuals.
Among the individuals awarded Certificates of Merit, there are Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the General Confederation of Labor, Head of the Drafting Committee of the Trade Union Law (amended); Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the General Confederation of Labor, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Drafting Committee of the Trade Union Law (amended); Mr. Phan Van Anh, Vice President of the General Confederation of Labor, Deputy Head of the Drafting Committee of the Trade Union Law (amended); Mr. Dinh Ngoc Quy, Standing Member of the Social Committee of the National Assembly.
Five collectives received Certificates of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, including: Social Affairs Department - National Assembly Office; General Confederation of Labor Policy and Law Department; General Confederation of Labor Finance Department; Labor Newspaper; Labor and Trade Union Magazine.
According to the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang, in the process of developing and participating in the development of the Law on Social Insurance, the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance, the Law on Employment, especially the Law on Trade Unions (amended), the General Confederation has always received the attention and coordination of competent agencies in listening to and recording the aspirations and recommendations of workers; promptly reflecting the practical life of workers and trade union activities in the process of building and perfecting the law. Many recommendations and proposals of workers and trade union organizations have been received, recorded and reflected in the draft Laws.
