2,610 union members in difficulty received support
In 2024, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union led and directed the timely development and implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union and the Resolution of the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union to all union members and workers at all union levels in the system and at units that have not yet had industry trade union activities in innovative, practical and effective ways.
A typical example is the Digital Training Program to thoroughly study the resolution in the form of E-learning, creating favorable conditions for cadres and union members to participate in researching and studying the resolution. The industry union has achieved impressive results with nearly 124,000 people participating in the training.
The Banking Trade Union has effectively organized activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union. This includes organizing the "Trade Union Meal" program throughout the system for 31,526 Vietnamese workers to participate with a total cost of over 3.8 billion VND.
The Banking Industry Union is doing a very good job in developing union members. The number of newly developed union members is 7,585, the number of newly established grassroots unions is 6 units, completing the union member development target for 2024 assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Dao Minh Tu - Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank, Chairman of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union emphasized the implementation of the policy of streamlining the Government's organizational apparatus.
The banking sector is highly unified and thoroughly grasps the spirit of urgency in arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus according to the Party and State's policies with the highest political determination, ensuring that streamlining goes hand in hand with improving effectiveness and efficiency, without interrupting or affecting the performance of the functions and tasks of the State Bank and the operations of the system of credit institutions, maximizing the value that the new organizational structure brings.
One of the key tasks of the NHVN Trade Union is to thoroughly grasp and implement the Trade Union Law (amended) throughout the system. Focus on signing collective labor agreements with contents that are beneficial to employees compared to the provisions of the law, especially the contents on wages and income. Organize well activities to care for union members and employees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh acknowledged, commended and congratulated the achievements of the civil servant, public employee, laborer movement and Trade Union activities in the Banking sector in the past time.
According to Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh, in 2025, trade unions at all levels in the industry need to continue to launch emulation campaigns throughout the system to achieve achievements in welcoming Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Patriotic Emulation Congress at all levels, the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress and major holidays and events of the Party and the country in 2025.
Identify the task of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions as the key and top priority tasks; at the same time, continue to focus on innovating the content and methods of union activities to suit each group of union members and workers.
