At Yazaki Hai Phong Vietnam Co., Ltd., Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet is not only known as Deputy Head of Production Preparation Management Department but also as an exemplary and dedicated Trade Union Chairman.
Under his leadership, the Trade Union of Yazaki Co., Ltd. has become a solid bridge between businesses and workers. The Trade Union maintains periodic dialogues every 3 months to listen to and answer union members' concerns; successfully negotiates collective labor agreements of type A, bringing the current salary level 20% higher than the regional minimum wage and maintaining Tet bonuses from 1.8 months' salary or more. For many years, Mr. Viet has been praised and rewarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Hai Phong City Labor Federation.
Behind the success of the trade union leader is the shadow of his steadfast life partner - Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Hoa, a teacher at Luu Kiem Secondary School. Not only is she a solid rear for her husband to feel secure in his work, Ms. Hoa - Mr. Viet's wife is a city-level excellent teacher, "BASE emulation soldier" with an admirable achievement list: Guiding students to win the First Prize in City-level Robot, Second and Fourth Prizes in the City-level Science and Technology/STEM competition in consecutive school years from 2022 to 2025, and was awarded a certificate of merit by Hai Phong City People's Committee.
The two children of Mr. Viet and Ms. Hoa followed their parents' example, achieving excellent academic achievements. The eldest child of Mr. Viet and Ms. Hoa is Nguyen Thi Bich Hang (born in 2005), who was once a city-level excellent student, won the Third Prize in the city-level Science and Technology competition in the 2018-2019 school year and is currently a 3rd year student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The second child is Nguyen Minh Hieu (born in 2010), currently studying at Hai An High School with the city-level excellent student achievement and won the City-level Science and Technology Competition prize in the 2024-2025 school year.
Throughout the period 2021-2025, Mr. Viet - Ms. Hoa's family continuously achieved the title "Cultural Family", becoming a bright example in the residential area. Recently, the title "National Typical Workers and Employees' Family for the period 2021-2026" awarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor is a completely worthy honor for the persistent efforts of a beloved family.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet shared: "Although work at the company is busy, I always try to arrange time to support sharing family work with my wife such as teaching children to study, preparing meals for the family when my wife is busy with work, organizing picnics for the family to create cohesion in the family every weekend or holiday. Along with that, I also regularly visit and encourage both parents, create conditions and encourage my wife to participate in school extracurricular activities during and outside office hours. For my wife and I, consensus and sharing in family life is the secret to keeping the fire of happiness, building a civilized home.
