Mr. Le Van Dai, Permanent Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, said: Immediately after the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee issued a Directive on leadership of Front congresses and socio-political organizations, the Da Nang City Labor Federation quickly took action, proactively developing a comprehensive plan for organizing trade union congresses at all levels.
The preparation was implemented methodically, scientifically and closely followed the practical situation of the workers' movement and the needs of union members in the context of rapidly changing economy and society.
The 1st Congress is not only a summary but also an opportunity to comprehensively review the achieved results, pointing out the limitations, thereby identifying the goals, breakthroughs and key tasks in the 2025 - 2030 term.
In the context of the labor market increasingly affected by digital transformation, new technology and extensive international integration, the requirement for trade unions is to innovate more flexibly and substantially, associated with the need for sustainable development and the rights of workers.
The draft political report was carefully prepared in a concise and concise direction but fully covered strategic pillars. The process of collecting comments was organized in many rounds, democratically and publicly, mobilizing the intelligence of union officials, experts and a large number of union members.
In addition, the Executive Committee's review report, personnel plan and thematic reports were completed with a high sense of responsibility, fully complying with the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. All of these create a set of quality documents, accurately reflecting the breath of workers' lives and the aspiration for innovation of the trade union organization in the new period.
The grassroots union congress in 28 communes and wards that has been completed before is considered an important stepping stone, creating a solid foundation in organization and ideology. The improvement of grassroots personnel, the construction of new operating models, the selection of advanced models... have contributed to strengthening the trust of union members, while spreading the spirit of exciting competition towards the city-level congress.
Strengthening propaganda to welcome the congress
Along with the preparation of documents and personnel, propaganda is considered an important pillar to create an exciting and accompanying atmosphere for union members and workers.
The Da Nang City Labor Federation has synchronously deployed forms of visual propaganda and on mass media. Pano, banners, and slogans are installed on central roads, industrial parks, agencies, and units; while newspapers, radio, television, and social networks continuously post articles and reports on congress celebration activities.
The propaganda content not only highlights the significance of the congress, but also honors good models and creative ways of caring for the lives and protecting the rights of workers. Examples of overcoming difficulties, grassroots unions innovating operating models, initiatives to improve union members' welfare... are considered bright spots, contributing to inspiring and encouraging emulation movements in the entire system.
According to the Standing Vice President of the City Labor Federation Le Van Dai, the propaganda work was divided into many phases, especially promoted before and during the congress. The success of communes and wards organizing grassroots trade union congresses has created a clear competitive atmosphere, strengthening union members' confidence in the innovation of the trade union organization. This spread is a source of motivation for trade unions at all levels to confidently enter the congress with a spirit of expectation, responsibility and determination to strongly innovate, Mr. Dai emphasized.
The congress is not only a ritualistic event, but also has strategic significance in the development journey of the Da Nang workers' movement. With more than 200,000 union members, the Da Nang City Trade Union is facing a great opportunity to shape a new vision: strong innovation, creativity in operations, more practical care for workers and actively contributing to the goal of building Da Nang into a creative, civilized and livable city.
