Exchange information to connect labor supply and demand

Information from the Trade Union Board of Industrial Parks of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), currently many businesses in industrial parks are lacking labor, with a total recruitment demand of more than 36,000 people. In the Eastern region, the labor recruitment demand is 22,975 people, equivalent to 11.3% of the total current labor force. The demand is mainly concentrated in Trang Due with 6,844 people, VSIP 4,656 people, An Duong 3,293 people and the Japanese Industrial Park 2,019 people. These are all areas with many manufacturing enterprises, including electronics, mechanical engineering, supporting industries and fields that use a large number of workers.

In the western area of Hai Phong, businesses reflect that the current recruitment demand is 13,267 workers. In particular, 4 industrial parks Dai An, An Phat 1, Tan Truong and Dai An expansion need to recruit 7,841 people, accounting for 59.1% of the total demand. In which, Dai An Industrial Park needs to recruit 2,610 people, An Phat 1 needs 2,577 people, Tan Truong 1,428 people and Dai An expansion needs to recruit 1,226 more workers...

According to the Industrial Park Trade Union Committee, in the face of the current demand for recruiting a large number of workers, the Clubs of Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of grassroots trade unions regularly exchange information on recruitment needs, experience in retaining workers and production situation at enterprises. Recruitment needs are updated and classified by area, industry, level and time to be shared between grassroots trade unions. From there, connecting labor supply and demand, helping businesses quickly supplement the shortage of labor to stabilize production.

Grassroots trade unions also proposed that the City Labor Federation strengthen coordination with vocational schools, job service centers and organize job transaction sessions to support businesses in recruiting skilled workers. Workers at businesses that reduce orders are also facilitated to access new jobs.

Enhance regimes to retain workers

Along with strengthening labor supply and demand connection channels, grassroots trade unions in industrial parks also share experiences in retaining workers thanks to dialogues to improve regimes and benefits. Clubs of Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of grassroots trade unions share salary levels, meals and welfare regimes between businesses in the same industrial park, industry group; provide dialogue content templates, negotiation preparation procedures, draft collective labor agreements and experience in handling workers' recommendations. On that basis, grassroots trade unions have more information to compare and determine priority content, develop plans and choose proposal levels suitable to the production and business situation of the enterprise.

From sharing and support activities, in the Eastern region, 77% of grassroots trade unions reported having salary increases in 2026; the average increase is about 465,000 VND/person/month, equivalent to about 7.3%.

95 units increased the meal allowance, the average increase was about 5,477 VND/person/meal, bringing the average meal value to about 31,325 VND/person/meal.

165 units organized 295 dialogues at the workplace, thereby considering and resolving 416 recommendations related to salaries, working hours, rest hours, working conditions and welfare regimes.

These results help workers feel secure and attached, support businesses to stabilize human resources, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in industrial parks in the city.
