Cases that will still apply the Law on Social Insurance 2014 after July 1, 2025 include:
According to Clause 5, Article 141 of the Law on Social Insurance 2024, from July 1, 2025, employees who are on leave to enjoy sick leave due to illness on the list of diseases requiring long-term treatment issued by the Minister of Health or on leave to enjoy maternity benefits according to the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance 2014 will continue to enjoy the implementation until the deadline that has been resolved.
In addition, Clause 4, Article 16 of Decree 159/2025/ND-CP stipulates that voluntary social insurance participants who are eligible and enjoy voluntary social insurance benefits before July 1, 2025 will still comply with the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance 2014.
In addition, the document authorizing others to receive pensions, social insurance benefits and other regimes according to the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance 2014 shall continue to be implemented until June 30, 2026 (according to Clause 14, Article 141 of the Law on Social Insurance 2024).
Cases eligible for one-time social insurance under the Law on Social Insurance 2014 (for example: retirement age but less than 20 years of contributions, serious illness, settling abroad, etc.) will still be applied after July 1, 2025.
