On the afternoon of July 28, the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a meeting with trade union officials from all periods to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).
The meeting was attended by leaders of departments, agencies, branches, and mass organizations, along with many former leaders and former trade union officials of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces through various periods.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation Ly Cong Bac recalled the 97-year journey of building and developing the Vietnam Trade Union. According to him, for nearly a century, the Trade Union organization has always accompanied the nation, being a reliable support for union members and workers, and at the same time making an important contribution to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
Providing information on the results of operations over the past time, Mr. Ly Cong Bac said that the Provincial Labor Federation has focused on innovating the content and methods of operation, strongly focusing on grassroots levels, and practically caring for the lives of union members and workers. In the coming time, the Trade Union organization will continue to improve the quality of representation, protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, especially in the context that Ca Mau is promoting investment attraction, and many large projects being implemented will create tens of thousands of jobs.
Representing the previous generation of trade union officials, Mr. Chau Thanh Ton, former Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Labor Federation, affirmed that in any stage, the Trade Union organization also plays an important role in gathering and protecting workers and building harmonious labor relations. He expressed his desire to continue to accompany and share experiences with the young team of trade union officials to contribute to building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization, meeting the requirements in the new development stage.
