On May 13, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) said that the unit will organize a Conference to commend outstanding and typical grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) Presidents in collective dialogue and negotiation work; union members who are outstanding and typical workers associated with commending advanced examples of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style.
This is a practical activity to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South, national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026), the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031.
The conference is an opportunity to recognize and commend grassroots trade union presidents for effectively implementing dialogue and collective bargaining (TLTT) activities and signing collective labor agreements (TƯLĐTT) with many clauses that are more beneficial than legal regulations; enhancing the role of representing and protecting the rights and interests of union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
At the same time, commend and reward typical collectives and individuals with good models, effective and creative ways of doing things in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style. Thereby, promptly introduce and replicate typical examples throughout the system.
At the conference, there will also be seminars, exchanges, sharing experiences in dialogue, TLTT and coordination with employers, parties building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations; sharing good models, creative ways of doing things in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example.
According to the plan, the conference will take place on May 18 with an expected attendance of 250 delegates. The activity is expected to promote dialogue, TLTT and signing of collective labor agreements, contributing to the successful implementation of the breakthrough of the first Can Tho City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030 on "Promoting dialogue, collective bargaining, focusing on salaries, bonuses, working hours, rest hours, occupational safety and health".
