During 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW on building the Vietnamese working class in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country, Thanh Hoa Trade Unions at all levels have taken care of more than 1.2 million union members and workers, with a total value of more than 921 billion VND.
With the Welfare Program for union members and workers, unions at all levels signed 343 cooperation agreements for partners to provide services and product incentives to more than 420,000 union members, benefiting more than 35 billion VND...
In addition to the significant results in the implementation of the Resolution, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor also specifically analyzed a number of limitations.
Accordingly, the Thanh Hoa labor force has its own characteristics with over 50% of the labor force working in a concentrated manner but not living in a concentrated manner. The daily life of these laborers is still attached to their families and localities, and is influenced by village culture.
With this reality, workers save on living expenses, increasing sustainability in their commitment to the business. However, this is one of the reasons that reduces professionalism, industrial style, and sense of organization and discipline of workers.
In addition, the lives of the majority of workers in the province still face many difficulties, such as stressful work intensity, unsecured material life, toxic working environment; rights have not been resolved satisfactorily, employers do not properly and fully implement the regimes and policies according to the provisions of law...
On the other hand, the labor turnover rate is high. Workers often change jobs or move to other locations with better conditions. This makes it difficult for businesses to maintain a stable labor force.
Policies to support and encourage workers to stay with businesses and localities are limited and do not meet actual needs. Workers lack opportunities for training and improving their professional skills; many businesses mainly employ unskilled workers.
From the above issues, to continue to effectively implement Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW, Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor proposes to continue to research, synthesize the situation, forecast the development trend of the working class, to propose to the Party and State to build and adjust policies, laws in accordance with the development practice of the Vietnamese working class in each period.
It is necessary to create a source of funding support for projects for the Labor Federations of provinces and cities in training and improving the skills and professional qualifications of workers.
The Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor also proposed investing in Nghi Son Economic Zone and Thanh Hoa Province's industrial parks to build cultural institutions in 2025.
