Strongly innovate operating methods
In the period 2023-2025, in the context of digital transformation and strong development of artificial intelligence, the requirements for arranging the organizational structure and innovating operational models are increasingly high, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology (CĐKHCN) has promoted its role as a representative organization, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; and at the same time affirmed its position as an important companion force with the development of the science and technology industry. This is also a period marking strong innovation efforts in the method of trade union activities, towards grassroots levels, taking union members and workers as the center, taking the effectiveness of caring for and protecting rights as a measure of operational quality.
A highlight in the recent period is the work of representing, caring for and protecting the rights of union members being deployed widely, practically and increasingly in depth. From 2023-2025, tens of thousands of union members and workers have been supported through social security activities, visits, difficulty allowances, Tet care, welfare programs and emergency support. More than 15,000 union members in difficult circumstances have been supported by the trade union with a total budget of over 31 billion VND; the budget for Tet care in the whole industry alone reached over 20 billion VND.
Programs such as "Tet Sum vay - Connected Spring", "Trade Union Meal", "Trade Union Tet Market", union member welfare programs continue to be innovated in both content and organizational form with nearly 215,000 union members benefiting from welfare programs with a benefit value of hundreds of billions of VND, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of workers.
In the work of representation, negotiation and dialogue, trade union levels have proactively coordinated with professional departments to build mechanisms and policies to ensure the interests of workers. Over 90% of agencies and units organize conferences of cadres, civil servants, public employees and employee conferences; 100% of collective labor agreements signed have contents that are more beneficial to workers than the provisions of law.
In the new context, the S&T Union determines that it must help workers have the ability to adapt to the very rapid changes of technology, production models and the working environment in the digital age. Therefore, the S&T Union not only cares about the current life but also cares about the future capacity of workers. This is also a prerequisite approach for the S&T Union to pay special attention to and focus on implementing training, improving professional qualifications, digital skills, building a lifelong learning culture, helping workers have the opportunity to develop, learn, improve their capacity and be able to adapt to the future.

Application of digital technology and artificial intelligence in trade union activities
Another important milestone of the CĐKHCN in the period 2023-2025 is the promotion of the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence in trade union activities. With the characteristic that the Trade Union organization of the industry plays a pioneering role in science, technology, and innovation, digital transformation is not only a requirement but has become a driving force for development.
Propaganda forms are strongly innovated on digital platforms through websites, fan pages, online applications, remote management and training systems. Hundreds of thousands of union members are propagated and disseminated the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and trade union resolutions.
In particular, the application of AI in training has created a breakthrough with 126,000 turns of officials, union members, and workers completing online training courses on AI; hundreds of turns of trade union officials were trained in using virtual assistants and digital skills, helping workers work more efficiently and contribute more to agencies, units and the country.
Emulation movements continue to be creatively implemented, associated with professional tasks and industry development strategies. The movements "Good labor - Creative labor", "The whole country emulates innovation and digital transformation", "Digital literacy", "Digital transformation to work better", "Each official and employee has an initiative", have spread strongly throughout the industry.
The outstanding result is that nearly 20,000 initiatives and useful solutions were recognized and put into practical application, benefiting more than one trillion VND; 58 individuals were awarded the Creative Labor Certificate by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; many collectives and individuals were honored in the "One Million Initiatives" Program.
The annual program honoring typical workers with the theme "Journey of Aspiration" has also become a highlight, with a widespread impact. In the 2023-2025 period, the S&T Union honored 437 typical workers, 71 outstanding trade union officials and many advanced examples, contributing to arousing and spreading the spirit of creativity, dedication and responsibility among union members and workers throughout the industry.
The results achieved in the period 2023–2025 not only reflect the efforts, solidarity and creativity of trade union levels but also demonstrate the role, responsibility, affection and companionship of the Trade Union organization with union members and workers, and the companionship of the Trade Union organization with the development of the industry and the country.
