Reduce pressure on female workers
Hai Phong City currently has nearly 350,000 workers working in 26 industrial parks and clusters, female workers account for about 60% of the total labor force. According to the Trade Union Committee of Hai Phong City Labor Federation, businesses in industrial parks have basically fully implemented the provisions of law on labor contracts, wages, and social insurance for female workers.
Health protection and care regimes for female workers are increasingly being concerned. Many businesses have organized periodic health check-ups and specialist check-ups for female workers, improved working conditions, arranged appropriate leave time for pregnant workers or those raising young children, and fully implemented maternity leave and breastfeeding leave according to the provisions of the Labor Code.
Some units prioritize policies for female workers, contributing to increasing income, reducing the pressure of life and increasing the level of NLĐ's attachment to businesses. These include child support allowances (from 50,000 to 100,000 VND/child/month), housing rent support (from 500,000 VND/person/month), travel support (from 400,000 - 500,000 VND/person/month), gifts for female workers on holidays (from 100,000 - 200,000 VND) and organizing reproductive health care activities (propagating reproductive health, free health check-ups for female workers, care seminars for pregnant women, having private buses for pregnant women to return home 30 minutes early and not arranging overtime work...).
Hai Phong is one of the cities that early implemented support for spending support for beneficiaries according to Decree No. 105/2020/ND-CP stipulating a number of policies for preschool education development and all levels of support are higher than regulations. Creating an environment for female workers to develop their abilities
Along with applying a preferential regime for female workers, in Hai Phong, trade unions coordinate with businesses to pay attention to improving working conditions for female workers in a green, clean and beautiful direction. To date, 85% of enterprises with trade union organizations ensure appropriate restrooms at workplaces according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health; install 112 milk storage rooms at enterprises with many workers. More than 90% of enterprises with trade union organizations have plans and organize periodic health check-ups and gynecological check-ups for female workers and employees; 100% of grassroots trade unions have plans to coordinate with businesses to propose solutions for female workers to have regular jobs; more than 70% of enterprises allow female workers raising children under 12 months old to have a 60-minute break to store milk and rest...
Mr. Vu Dinh Phi - Chairman of the Trade Union of Regina Miracle International Vietnam Co., Ltd. (VSIP Industrial Park) - said that as the unit with the largest number of union members in the city with more than 25,500 people (female workers account for over 65% of the total number of union members), the trade union always prioritizes negotiating contents directly related to female workers such as: Supporting pregnant women and raising young children; periodic health check-ups and in-depth check-ups; improving the quality of lunch meals; giving gifts on holidays for women; arranging jobs suitable for the health and conditions of female workers... These policies in terms of material value are not large but have shown the business's concern for employees, contributing to improving material and spiritual life so that women can feel secure at work.
