Fujiura Nha Trang Co., Ltd. is an FDI enterprise with 61 employees. Of which, more than 50% are female; 100% of employees (NLĐ) participate in trade unions. Average income reaches more than 8.2 million VND/person/month.
Over the past time, the grassroots trade union (CĐCS) has proactively coordinated with the Board of Directors to maintain stable jobs, ensure full salary payment and insurance regimes, and at the same time, organize periodic and unscheduled dialogues to promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of employees, and resolve arising recommendations.
The highlight is the negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements with many contents that are more beneficial than legal regulations. Employees are allowed to increase the number of days off to receive salary in cases of funerals and weddings; are considered for early salary increases if they have achievements or initiatives; enjoy supports such as rent allowances from 800,000 - 1,300,000 VND/month, travel allowances per working day. Businesses also maintain quarterly bonuses, Tet bonuses and 13th-month salary.
These benefits were obtained thanks to the persistence of Trade Union Chairman Pham Thi Tuyet My. In 2024, the trade union collected data, persuading businesses not only to upgrade rooms but also to increase travel allowances, reducing the burden on employees.
According to Ms. Tuyet My, the key to successful negotiation is "harmonious benefits, shared risks". To harmonize the interests between workers and businesses, she and the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union maintain periodic dialogues, linking workers' rights with labor productivity and focusing on non-wage benefits. She herself also constantly improves her negotiation capacity, maintains steadfastness, principles but flexibility in dialogue, and regularly learns about the Labor Law and Trade Union Law.
Currently, after the merger, the trade union organization has many changes. Therefore, Ms. My proposed that the upper-level trade union organize more activities and playgrounds after working hours to promptly grasp and share the legitimate aspirations of union members and workers.
