Substantive dialogue
Mr. Dinh Cong Trong Nghia - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Imexpharm Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company said that right from the beginning of his term, Mr. Nghia clearly stated: to have effective dialogue, there must be a solid institutional foundation.
In 2024, he proactively coordinated to review and contribute opinions to amend the Grassroots Democracy Regulations at the workplace, thereby enhancing the representative role of trade union organizations in the new context.
Under his leadership, the Trade Union Executive Committee not only performs its functions correctly but also becomes a reliable partner of the Board of Directors in personnel management.
A highlight in the working style of the grassroots trade union official is organizing dialogues in a methodical and substantive manner. Periodic dialogues are always carefully prepared, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, associated with the specific characteristics of production and business.
The content of the dialogue is not general but goes straight to practical issues such as salaries, bonuses, working conditions, and welfare regimes. The process of administration is democratic and objective, all opinions are listened to and responded to clearly, with specific conclusions, creating trust for workers.
Not only stopping at periodic dialogues, when businesses adjust policies related to employees, Mr. Nghia proactively proposes to organize unexpected dialogues.
Thanks to this, many "sensitive" issues such as changing salary and bonus regulations, evaluating work efficiency... are explained promptly and thoroughly, minimizing concerns, contributing to maintaining the stability of ideology and peace of mind and attachment of employees to businesses.
On the basis of effective dialogue, the negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements at Imexpharm also achieved many outstanding results. Mr. Nghia always spends time researching the production and business situation, and listens to the aspirations of workers to make appropriate proposals.
The negotiation process was carefully prepared, fully complying with legal procedures, ensuring harmony of interests between the two sides.

As a result, Imexpharm's Collective Labor Agreement (effective until 2027) was ranked A by the Vietnam Medical Union, with many contents more beneficial to workers than general regulations.
Examples include the 13-month salary regardless of business results, work performance bonuses, supplementary health insurance, additional bonus policies when employees retire, policies to recognize employees' contributions, lunch meals, or life care policies such as Tet gifts, shuttle buses, support for sports clubs...
In the 2024-2025 period alone, the total value of welfare benefits from the agreement brought to workers is up to hundreds of billions of VND. These figures not only reflect the effectiveness of collective bargaining but also demonstrate the practical role of the trade union organization under the leadership of Mr. Nghia.
Making collective dialogue and negotiation a solid foundation
In parallel with that, he also paid special attention to propaganda and raising awareness for workers. New policies and regulations are widely disseminated through many appropriate forms, helping workers understand their rights and obligations and actively participate in the dialogue and negotiation process.
Training and fostering trade union officials is also concerned, contributing to building an increasingly professional team, meeting the requirements in the new situation.
These persistent efforts have contributed to creating a disciplined and humane working environment at Imexpharm - where workers are not only guaranteed their rights but also listened to and respected.
Sharing about his journey, Mr. Nghia could not hide his emotion when he was soon commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as an excellent and typical grassroots Trade Union Chairman in collective dialogue and negotiation work in 2026.
This is not only a great honor for me personally, but also a recognition for the entire Imexpharm Trade Union and all workers who have accompanied, shared and built an increasingly better working environment," he said.
In the eyes of that trade union official, pride lies not in the title, but in the peace of mind of the workers - people who have chosen to stick with the business.
And it is that peace of mind and trust that is the motivation for him to continue his journey as a "bridge", bringing dialogue and collective negotiation to become a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the business.
